What can the Energy Star Advantage do for you?

Save Energy

An Energy Star Certified building is twice as efficient as the average building in its’ geographic location. To earn an Energy Star, building owners make measureable investments in equipment and infrastructure, while still maintaining comfort and workability for their tenants. Energy Star represents a willingness to be accountable.

Save Money / Qualify for Tax Credits

In addition to saving money on energy, owners earn tax credits on new appliances and fixtures installed for building upgrades which save energy.

Attract Customers

The Energy Star Certification can help owners be competitive in markets where tenants are conscious of the efficiency, cost, and impact of building energy use. Keep your tenants and attract new ones with this verifiable difference from your competitors. Healthy environment Energy Star buildings represent buildings with healthier environments in all areas of thermal comfort and indoor air quality. And tenants participating in the cost of utilities, either by participation in a triple net rent program or end of the year additional costs for full service leases, will most likely consider moving into an Energy Star building where costs will be significantly less.
